Information and rules:
The Dordogne is a class I river, accessible to the public.
You must be able to swim for 25 metres in open water.
Life vests must be worn.
Closed-toe shoes must be worn.
Children under 12 must be supervised or accompanied.
Children under 5 are not authorised (prefectural decree from 27/02/2013).
Unaccompanied minors must have written authorisation from their parents or guardians.
Respect the river, the environment and anglers.
Dogs must be kept on a lead.
Do not litter on the banks or in the river.
Protect yourself from the sun! Remember to bring sun cream, a bottle of water, a sun hat, and keep your sunglasses attached to you.
Protect children from the sun.
Do not hook any branches, as you may capsize. Stay in the middle of the river.
